Where Is Xur Destiny 2 September 14 2018
If you played D estiny, you may be familiar with Xur, the weekly Exotic item merchant. In Destiny 2, he's back, and now appears all over the map. This week, he's in the EDZ. You can find Xur hanging out next to a Fallen Ketch.
Xur's inventory this week consists of the following:
- Sunshot, Exotic hand cannon: 29 Legendary Shards
- Graviton Forfeit, Exotic Hunter helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
- Wormgod Caress, Exotic Titan gauntlets: 23 Legendary Shards
- Eye of Another World, Exotic Warlock helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
- Fated Engram: 97 Legendary Shards
Xur's inventory appears to cap out at 530 power. He also offers specific rolls on each armor piece each week, giving out different perks for the same pieces. We've highlighted any great rolls below.
SUNSHOT
Sunshot is an exotic hand cannon that does Solar damage. It's also one of the exotics you can choose on Io while playing through the campaign. Sunshot's first exotic perk is Sunburn, which causes the weapon to fire explosive rounds and highlight enemies that take damage. Its secondary perk, Sun Blast, causes enemies killed by Sunshot to explode.
Sunshot is one of the best exotics in the game. Not only is it fairly useful in some raid scenarios like the Gauntlet, but it's also just fun to use. You may not do great if you want this to be your main PvP gun, but you'll still have fun while using it. If you don't have one, get yourself a Sunshot this week.
GRAVITON FORFEIT
The Graviton Forfeit is a Hunter helmet from Curse of Osiris. While it looks like a returning exotic from Destiny, its exotic perk, Vanishing Shadow, is completely different in Destiny 2. This perk increases the length of your invisibility skills and causes your melee ability to recharge quickly while you're invisible.
This helmet is actually very powerful with the new "Way of the Wraith" tree, and will keep you invisible for a very long time. If you like being sneaky, pick up this helmet.
This week's roll: A choice between resilience and recovery. Slot one offers bow targeting, hand cannon targeting, and hands-on — melee kills generate super energy. Slot two offers shotgun reserves and heavy ammo scavenger. This roll is decent, especially if you like playing a close range style. Consider picking it up for your Hunter this week.
WORMGOD CARESS
This is actually a campaign exotic from Warmind, so almost everyone should have it, as long as you've beaten Xol with a Titan. Its exotic perk is Burning Fists, which causes melee kills to increase melee damage for a period of time. This effect's duration is extended for each melee kill.
This gauntlets are fine if you enjoy playing up close. But when the Synthoceps exotic exists, it's difficult to think of a time where you would use these instead.
This week's roll: A choice between resilience and recovery. Slot one offers fusion rifle loader, hand cannon loader, and impact induction — melee damage reduces grenade cooldown. Slot two offers shotgun scavenger and heavy ammo scavenger. This roll is actually pretty great, considering that hand cannons and shotguns pair well with this exotic playstyle. Consider picking it up for your Titan this week.
EYE OF ANOTHER WORLD
You may already have Eye of Another World if you selected it from Sloane right before the Utopia campaign mission. The Cerebral Uplink perk will highlight targets for you and passively increase the regeneration of your grenade, melee and Rift abilities. It's certainly worth picking up if you don't have it yet.
This week's roll: a choice between mobility and recovery. Slot one offers bow targeting, hand cannon targeting, and hands-on — melee kills generate super energy. Slot two offers shotgun reserves and heavy ammo scavenger. This roll is decent, especially if you like playing a close range style. Consider picking it up for your Warlock this week.
